Slumber Party I threw a slumber party for Azaya last night, and it seemed pretty successful. I was told I was a good cook by one girl, who was also sad that she wouldn't be able to spend the night, so that's good. It means that she felt comfortable here. I made enchiladas, Mexican rice, guacamole, chips (well, I didn't make those), refried beans, with cake and ice cream for dessert. The cake was lemon with white frosting sprinkled with fuschia sugar crystals and with blueberries and raspberries on it. Things tasted good. They didn't attempt to stay up all night, thank goodness. Now there is one girl still here, but she will be picked up any minute. Today is laundry day, and I need to decide what to make for lunch soon. I got my neice a soccer DVD for her birthday. She wants to be a pro player when she grows up, and plays all the time now. She just turned 13. The DVD has a lot of different techniques to improve your skills, and it got great reviews. This afternoon I'm also supposed to video chat with my sister, because we both have webcams. This is a good way to talk together as if we are all in the same room. It'll be fun. |
