First Birthday, and Can I Bitch Just a Little More? So I just read about those Iraq war photos that got posted on the web, and now the government is freaking out. If people have no idea of what the war is really like, how can they make a decision to support it? It's easy to support something you have only an abstract idea about. People have the right to see those photos. Fucking government. Wasn't the whole idea behind the war to topple Saddam and get rid of WMD? Wasn't that done? So why are we still there? This whole thing is so fucking stupid, it makes me sick. I hate humanity. I see children playing shooting games, I hear about rape and child molestation, I see how polluted technology has made our environment, and I realize that humans are fucking barbaric. How many people do you think could go and kill that cow they love to eat for dinner? Yeah, I'd like to see that. Fucking hypocrites. If you're not okay with getting the blood on your hands you shouldn't be eating it. But hey, I see how people are. They like to pass the burden on to other people, so they don't have to think about it themselves. I see it all the time. Bah. In other news, I think I might have an oral topic! Yay! So let me get back to work on it, okay? I saw Lars Von Trier's Dancer in the Dark with Bjork. It was very moving. I loved all the character development. It was a very real movie. The soundtrack and the music scenes were so powerful. What a great movie. Guess what? Today is my boy's first birthday. So, let's have a picture or three, shall we? These pictures were taken on March 1, so they are almost two months old. He crawls all over the place now, and stands up sometimes too, for a short while. He's a great baby. |
