The Vampire Song I just bought the Concrete Blonde "Bloodletting" album from iTunes. I love this album. I used to listen to it as an angst ridden teenager. I'm also reading an Anne Rice book. Yes, I have sunk so low. I'm reading The Vampire Lestat. I already own Interview with a Vampire. This one I'm reading I found out by the trashcans at our apartment complex along with a bunch of V.C. Andrews books. Remember those? I picked up the Flowers in the Attic box set. Do you know that book? It is so deliciously bad. The brother and the sister fall for each other. Yes, it's incestuous. I loved reading this when I was younger. Parts of this Rice book could be better, but I think she does a really great job of describing the mental state of Lestat, along with the physical aspects of the vampires. My favorite part, a very powerful and almost hallucinogenic part, is when Lestat turns Nicholas into a vampire. Oh, it was such a powerful scene. Wasn't there more that I wanted to say? Robert just made some coffee, and since I didn't have any at home this morning, I think I'll go have some now. Then I'll read some literature on absorbance experiments. |
